Director of Merchandise, European Brands, Global Merchandising, Hong Kong | “My career at DFS started in the company first Management Trainee Program which delivered a comprehensive overview of Merchandising, Planning, and Division operations. After working as an Assistant Planner for several months, DFS acquired Miami Cruiseline Services and I was transferred to Miami to manage process and integration. I moved back to San Francisco in Jewelry Brands as an Assistant Merchandise Manager and then Associate Merchandise Manager gaining valuable experience with European and American luxury brands. In an effort to better connect the merchants and planners in our Destinations department- the gift part of our business-the Destinations teams were set up in Singapore and Hawaii. I transferred to Singapore as a Merchandise Manager for Food and Candy for 2 years. The company made another strategic move in 2005 to concentrate on the development of new and emerging brands as a vehicle to drive comparable door sales. I was transferred back to San Francisco for my current in my current role as Director Emerging Brands, Fashion Group. It is apparent throughout my career DFS has truly given me the world!
