Objective

To recognize employees within each store who most exemplify the DFS vision of Extraordinary People Delivering Extraordinary Product. Employees who are nominated each month demonstrate not only the desired attitude and service behaviors, but are also leaders amongst their teams in productivity and efficiency. Your Employee of the Month nominee should be someone you want others to role model.



Process

WHO

One non-Key Management Incentive Plan (KMIP) employee will be selected monthly in each store from sales and one from support (i.e. support team, administration team, warehouse team) for Employee of the Month (two winners per location)

One sales and one support associate in each store will be selected for Employee of the Year

HOW

Product Sales Managers (PSMs) and support managers will nominate staff employees.

A nomination form is included in this packet and will also be available on the DFS intranet.

SELECTION & RECOGNITION PROCESS

The General Manager (GM), the Assistant General Manager (AGM), and Talent Management (TM) will select the Employee of the Month from the nominees.

One of the 12 winners of Employee of the Month in each category will then become Employee of the Year. The Managing Director (MD), along with the GM, AGM, and TM will select the Employee of the Year.

The Employee of the Month will receive a certificate, breakfast or lunch with the GM and/or AGM, as well as locally determined nominal prizes.

The Employee of the Year will receive a trophy, a framed certificate, breakfast or lunch with the GM and/or AGM, as well as locally determined nominal prizes.

You should recognize and award the Employee of the Month/Year no later than the 20th of the following month.
