Objective

To honor individuals and teams in Merchandising who most exemplify exceptional achievements in support of our company’s strategic direction.

Process

WHO

All members of the Merchandising team (includes 7th Floor Hong Kong and 31st Floor San Francisco) are eligible to receive these awards.

HOW

Quarterly Awards will be presented as follows. Nominations will be submitted for categories except Sales and Margin awards. Criteria of each category is as follows:

  • Sales Award – Honor top performing team based on quarterly sales performance highest percent over plan
  • Margin Award – Honor top performing team based on quarterly gross margin rate performance highest percent over plan
  • Success Story Award – An accomplishment outside of normal business objectives
  • Risk Taker Award – Demonstrate Business risk taken that supports DFS goals and objectives
  • Innovation Award - Creative ideas or suggestions to improve workflow/processes
  • Partnership Award – Employees or teams who most exemplify collaboration and partnership
Nomination forms are available on DFS intranet and from San Francisco and Hong Kong Talent Management office

SELECTION & RECOGNITION PROCESS

Nominations are collected from any member of the Merchandising team every quarter. Round table discussion is arranged by a selection of panel members representing all key categories and departments.

On a quarterly basis, Winners of the 6 Awards will receive a framed certificate and luncheon with Senior Executives in Merchandising.

The Winners of the Year for below 6 Awards will receive the following:

  • Sales Award – a trophy and US$500 gift certificate
  • Margin Award – a trophy and US$500 gift certificate
  • Success Story Award – a trophy and US$500 gift certificate
  • Risk Taker Award – a trophy and US$500 gift certificate
  • Innovation Award - a trophy and US$500 gift certificate
  • Partnership Award- a trophy and US$500 gift certificate
